A boy was watching his father, a Priest, write a sermon. "How do you know what to say?" he asked. "Why, God tells me" his father replied. "Oh", the boy said, " Then why do you keep crossing things out?"

The boy watching his father, a priest, crossing out parts of a sermon -- which the priest said he was writing with the help of God -- indicates how young children tend to be honest and naive. It also indicates that adults often need to be more explicit when answering children's questions.
